Stockpile at start of Day 2:
New additions are chopped kale (from my garden) and homemade salad dressing (to make kale salad)
Woke up feeling very hungry:
Breakfast: Oatmeal & popcorn
Snack: Popcorn
Lunch: Rice/Beans
Dinner: 1/2 bagel with homemade hummus
Comments on the day: I thought, for sure, that Day 2 would be worse than Day 1 in terms of feeling deprived from food. I have been pleasantly surprised that I was not as hungry throughout the day as I thought I would be. Had many back-to-back meetings today so did not eat lunch until 3:30pm. I commuted to work today by bike (round trip ~ 15 miles), so I would assume that I will start feeling hungry very soon. Good thing I had a late lunch.
Since my bread of choice is OBread (which costs $4-6/loaf) I cannot splurge for that, so I decided to buy two bagels. Not as cheap as I thought they would be - I need to get better at checking for prices on food. I do remember when bagels were $ .25, now they are $.99. Wow!
Ran into my friend Mark who is going to do the Hunger Challenge. When at first he said he couldn't do it. Thanks for stepping to the plate, Mark.
